Topic: Wherestheseat.com series
Episode 1 :
We recently purchased a new DSLR and have been spending a considerable amount of time working out through all the new techniques required for producing higher quality shots. This film was originally going to be part 1 of a DVD. However, upon further investigation, acquiring music rights for distribution of a DVD was not feasible as it turned out to be more hassle than it was worth.
Having said that, we decided to release this film as a pilot to a series of longer films which we are planning to release. A large amount of time and effort goes into making these longer films, but if you guys enjoy them then it is worth the effort! If you enjoy this pilot film we are considering producing a regular series of 15 minute long films which will be released monthly. All comments and suggestions are welcome to better our videos for your viewing pleasure.
Shooting locations: Kamloops; Squiggly Line Competition, Mill Bay; PNE, Vancouver; Vanier Park, Vancouver; University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

Episode 6
It's been 4 episodes since Canadian Champion John Webster has been featured. I took a ferry to Nanaimo to deliver John's brand new Kortz 2 frame, and spent the day filming some of the most amazing riding (I'm referring to both John's ability and the terrain) I have ever seen in person.
Featuring :
Chris Jenkins - Rockman Slate
Kevin Liu - Custom Rockman Slate 2
John Webster - 2009 Echo Control
Music :
Coldplay - Don't Panic
Death Cab for Cutie - Grapevine Fires
Phoenix - Lisztomania
Episode 7
This episode features Jeff's new Watermelon Meta VTT2. The frame has been lightened from 1900g to 1600g. This was done by grinding the tubes thinner, and removing the disc tab. The cutout on the headtube was also enlarged.
The idea first spawned when we had a customer return his VTT2 due to paint defects. We wanted to see if it was possible to lighten a bike without spending any extra money. By the time Jeff finished grinding, the frame was hideous. Chris then suggested that the frame be painted like a watermelon, an idea that was inspired by a flamboyant limousine we saw earlier in the day.
Jeff has had a dozen rides on the frame now, and it is still holding up fine (Jeff is rather harsh on frames). It will be interesting to see how the bike holds up for Whistler Trials Works in two weeks.
Riders :
Alex Le - Rockman Slate (Blue)
Chris Hii - Rockman Slate 2 (Gold)
Kevin Liu - Rockman Slate 2 (Custom)
Anthony Fader - Rockman Aurem (Black)
Jeff Anderson - Meta VTT2 (Watermelon)
Music :
The XX - Heart Skipped a Beat
Tegan and Sara - Alligator (Toro Y Moi Remix)
Tegan and Sara - Paperback Head
The Zolas - You're Too Cool
Cold War Kids - Relief
Episode 8
I got together with Jeff just before UCI worlds to film his segment in this episode. It was his first ride on his new Kortz 2, and he is really enjoying it. Hopefully the bike can keep up with him in Quebec!
Those of you who have been riding long enough may remember Brian Hong and his old website, BrianHong.com (2000-2003). Brian organized countless group rides through out British Columbia, and was a big influence to the evolution of the sport locally.
Brian left the trials scene in Vancouver in 2004 to pursue a new life in Japan, where he met his wife. After BrianHong.com shut down, he started a new website called Biketrials-Japan.com. Through this new website, he continued to spread his influence in a new continent.
Riders :
Jeff Anderson - Rockman Kortz 2 (Orange)
Chris Hii - Rockman Slate 2 (Gold)
Kevin Liu - Rockman Slate 2 (Custom)
Jay Cuthbert - Rockman Kortz 2 (Grey)
Brian Hong - Yess (Blue)
Music :
Crash Kings - Nonbeliever
Tegan and Sara - On Directing
Hannah Georgas - The Deep End
Cake - Arco Arena
Massive Attack - Paradise Circus
Episode 9
This episode is the last one for our 2010 season. It has been a great year for us, and the trials community in Vancouver is as strong as ever. I am really happy that the series provided a common goal for everyone who participated, and I think we all learned to enjoy the sport of Bicycle Trials a little more.
There are way too many riders featured in this video for me to list them out one by one. I don't think the names are important anyways.
I'd like to give thank Rockman Bikes for their support, DJ Spinege for sending us some of his work, and all the riders from Biketrial.tw for their hospitality during my trip to Taiwan.
